Turkey Day 2012: I have been asked to cook three turkeys this year for three seperate dinners, in one week. This year I have decided to BBQ the turkey based on the Beer Can Chicken technique. I have read science disprove this theory, but I have cooked a beer can chicken and it’s come out delicious. So check out these video tutorials, brought to you by ApedAperture. Oh and be sure to check out some of our comedy sketches, to satisfy your craving for funny.

Step 1: The Brining

Disclaimer: if you don’t want to be “the go to turkey cooker” don’t follow these directions. People will talk about your turkey all year long.

4 qrts chicken broth
1/2 cup salt
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup brown sugar
Garlic powder
1/2 onion
1 head of garlic smashed

Put them in a brining bag with your turkey and sit overnight.

Step 2: BBQ’ing

Tips: Make sure you have a good greese catcher. The turkey will drip and cause large flames.

Cherry Bourbon Glaze

1/2 cup of Jim Bean Cherry Bourbon

1/2 cup honey

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

1 cup of brown sugar

Boil ingredients for 10 minutes or until sauce thickens.
